We listened to our customers, and the Ridge Walker is the result of a rifle repeatedly requested by many. We made the first one in early 2007, so it has not been previously available online. What people wanted was a rifle in between our 9 pound Signature Series and our lightest model, the Wind Walker — our two most popular models. That gave us a weight perimeter of 8 to 8¼ pounds.

We started off with the Jarrett Tri-Lock receiver which has now proven itself over and over in world-wide hunting. We use an aluminum floor plate for weight reduction, and Talley rings and bases. The barrel is a Jarrett 3 taper lapped to 1/10th of 1/1000th and crowned at 25." The rifle can come supplied with brake, without brake, or with a brake kit which includes the brake, cap and wrench.

The stock is a standard classic style with slender forearm and pistol grip. For weight reduction, the stock is constructed of 60% Kevlar and 40% fiberglass. After the rifle is assembled, it goes to the tuning room. For the first twenty rounds, it is cleaned after every shot. After the break-in, the actual load development begins. Shooting of the rifle with different combinations of bullets, powder and primers is done until we arrive at the accuracy level we know the rifle is capable of with a bullet that will work for the customer's needs.

At this point the rifle receives its finishes. All the metal parts receive a phenolic rosin finish which is the most durable and weather resistant we've found. The stock receives a four-application final finish of Polane Tee texture paint. We then install the scope, either one you have purchased from us or one you send us, and zero the rifle. We make the Ridge Walker in all popular calibers as well as in our parity cartridges.

All of our rifles are made from precision parts we control, except triggers, rings and bases, and specialty stocks. We exercise surgical precision in their assembly. We don't have any interest in gimmicky marketing ploys like the short magnums. Therefore, we don't chamber them at all.
